This training course covers alternating and direct current motor construction and operation as it applies to synchronous motor operation. Alternating and direct current motor repair testing and measurement standards inform attendees on the correct way to perform motor repair tests and measurements on synchronous motors. Topics include: alternating & direct current motor operating principles, synch motor nomenclature, synch motor operation (slip-ring motors), synch motor operation (brushless excitation), synch motor testing & measurement practices & procedures, and synch motor troubleshooting strategies, synch motor management strategies.
Course materials are provided for all attendees. Student break snacks and drinks as well as lunch are included on both course days. Lodging is available at area hotels in St. Francisville or Zachary, LA.
