Field Service Millwright

Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshot, tested, and repair electric motor equipment at customers' locations.

Utilize precision millwright skills to disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and repair typical petrochemical rotating equipment.

Conduct field activities including removal and replacement of rotating equipment, baseplate replacement, packing/mechanical seal replacement, precision alignment, etc.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • Preferred experience in an industrial setting with service repair of rotating electric/mechanical apparatus.

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance products and industry-specific knowledge is acceptable.

  • OSHA & TWIC certification preferred.

  • Valid driver's license with no major violations in the past three years.

  • Experience with cranes and rigging is a plus.

  • Proficiency in basic math functions.

  • Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.

  • Capability to work overtime, weekends, on-call, and off-shift as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.

  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdowns and correct problems.

  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.

  • Advise management on hazardous, non-safe, or poor quality standards or situations resulting in poor quality, poor customer service, or an unsafe environment.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as required by customers and/or management.

  • Willingness to work on-call and off-shift as necessary.
