The primary responsibility of the Industrial Sales Representative is to drive top-line revenue generation, profitability, and performance across all sales activities in the target market. This includes identifying expansion opportunities through the development and implementation of business plans, generating sales leads, enhancing brand awareness, and effectively managing sales activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership:
- Embody and promote the company's core values: integrity, determination, customer-centricity, reliability, and innovation.
- Collaborate with marketing services providers to enhance brand and product awareness, generate leads, and increase client loyalty.
- Develop and communicate the company's Unique Selling Proposition and Proven Process for sales success.
- Set and achieve revenue growth goals through performance and activity management.
- Motivate, mentor, and develop the sales team to drive consistent performance, product knowledge, and customer-centric approach.
- Use CRM and other sales tools for effective sales tracking and management.
- Implement and maintain sales, pricing, and customer service processes and policies.
- Expand market share by effectively selling the full range of Red Stick Armature Works products and services and nurturing existing customer relationships.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues from inside sales, operations, accounting, and field services to meet customer needs.
- Participate in internal and external client debriefs to gather feedback and improve customer experience.
- Lead prospecting efforts for potential key or strategic accounts.
- Expand and leverage personal network to meet potential clients and build relationships with decision-makers.
- Identify and build relationships with potential key clients, working closely with the Sales team to develop compelling proposals and pitches.
- Demonstrate effective negotiation skills and a customer-centric approach to build strong relationships with clients.
2. Business Development Planning:
- Attend industry functions, conferences, and events to stay informed about market trends and competitors, while also building brand awareness.
- Present insights and consult on business trends to identify new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Identify opportunities for sales campaigns, services, and distribution channels to drive sales growth.
- Utilize market knowledge to develop the company's unique selling proposition.
- Oversee training for new salespeople and provide ongoing coaching and development for sales representatives.
3. Administration:
- Manage sales administration functions, streamline processes, and systems.
- Establish, measure, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics.
- Use metrics to adjust strategies, processes, and Sales Team performance for continuous improvement.
- Assign sales territories, set sales goals, and establish training programs for sales representatives.
- Implement performance improvement plans as per company procedures.
4. Planning:
- Assist in developing the annual sales plan, providing realistic forecasts for each product and territory based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy, and sales efforts.
- Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and monitor customer preferences.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree and 6-10 years of successful sales experience or equivalent leadership roles are required.
