SINCE 1959...
A Legacy of Excellence
Red Stick Armature Works (RSAW) was founded in 1959 by E.C. Howard, a Pearl Harbor survivor who served aboard the USS Neches, a fuel supply ship torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese submarine during World War II. After returning home, E.C. used the GI Bill to master the art of rewinding electric motors, earning the nickname “DC Guru of the Bayou.”
With a strong belief in hard work, teamwork, and service before self, E.C. laid the foundation for RSAW, which quickly became a trusted leader in electrical and mechanical repairs. Over six decades later, RSAW still remains family-owned, continuing to honor E.C. Howard’s legacy of excellence, integrity, and community service.
