We are seeking a dedicated Electric Motor Technician to assist in the repair and maintenance of electromechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will work hands-on with mechanical components, ensuring high-quality repairs through disassembly, troubleshooting, inspection, reassembly, and final testing. No prior electric motor shop experience is required—we provide on-the-job training and weekly classroom instruction to ensure success in the role.

This position follows a 4-days on / 4-days off shift schedule and is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and a team-oriented environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble electromechanical equipment for inspection and repair.
  • Perform initial testing, troubleshooting, and mechanical inspections to assess equipment condition.
  • Reassemble and conduct final quality control (QC) and testing before returning equipment to customers.
  • Operate or learn to operate warehouse forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Follow safety procedures and company protocols while handling equipment
  • Work effectively as part of a high-performance team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Basic literacy skills (ability to read and write legibly).
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to work on your feet all day and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Dependable—able to consistently report to work on time.
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety standards
  • Must be able to pass a drug and physical test.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in electric motor repair, heavy equipment repair, industrial maintenance, diesel mechanics, or similar fields is a plus
