We are seeking a skilled Field Service Motor Technician to install, troubleshoot, test, and repair electric motor equipment at customer locations. The motor technician will diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues using test equipment and hand tools, as well as provide recommendations on hazardous or non-compliant conditions.

This position follows a Monday-to-Friday schedule and is ideal for individuals who are able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with availability for overtime, weekends, on-call, and off-shift work as needed. The successful candidate possesses a positive attitude, maintains composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, test, and repair electric motor equipment at customer locations.
  • Disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and repair rotating equipment using precision millwright skills
  • Perform removal, replacement, and alignment of rotating machinery, including baseplate and mechanical seal replacements.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using appropriate tools.
  • Test electrical systems for continuity, compatibility, and safety, ensuring compliance with codes.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues using test equipment and hand tools
  • Inspect systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs.
  • Advise management on safety hazards, poor-quality conditions, or service concerns
  • Works independently or as member of a team in a fast-paced environment with availability for overtime, weekends, on-call, and off-shift work as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance products and industry-specific knowledge
  • Proficiency in basic math functions.
  • Ability to understand, perform, and retain job-related training, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and practices.
  • Security Passport, OSHA, TWIC certification preferred or be able to obtain certifications.
  • Participation in the DISA Program
  • Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
  • Availability to work overtime, weekends, on-call, and off-shift as needed
  • Must be able to pass a drug and physical test.

Preferred Experience

  • Preferred experience in an industrial setting with service repair of rotating electro-mechanical apparatuses.
  • Experience with cranes and rigging
