We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating manual lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, and milling machines to produce precision components. This role also involves setting up and operating a variety of machine tools while demonstrating expertise in fabricating, modifying, and repairing mechanical instruments.

This position follows a 4-days on / 4-days off shift schedule and is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills, and milling machines
  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts
  • Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments
  • Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines
  • Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Perform other duties/projects as designated by the supervisor

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior hands-on experience as a manual machinist or as a recent graduate from a machining or trade school with relevant training.
  • Basic literacy skills (ability to read and write legibly).
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to work on your feet all day and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Dependable—able to consistently report to work on time.
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety standards
  • Must pass drug and physical tests

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in electric motor repair, heavy equipment repair, industrial maintenance, diesel mechanics, or similar fields is a plus.
