The Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of VFDs in various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and be proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues related to VFDs
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission VFDs in Industrial Settings
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on VFDs to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot VFD-related issues, including electrical and programming faults
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement VFD solutions
- Provide technical support and training to customers and staff on VFD operation and maintenance
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience working with Variable Frequency Drives in an industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear instructions and support to customers and team members.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and practices.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with various brands and models of VFDs.
- Knowledge of motor control and drive systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed.
- Comfortable working in various industrial environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
